Ford Ecosport 2018

Hello ! Welcome to Carwahi.
➽➽➽➽➽➽➽➽➽➽➽➽➽

This car has made the market know what compact-SUV is? First, released in Brazil 2012 & this was its 2nd-gen though but released in India near about 2013.

Ford Ecosport, First-gen was not so popular but the 2nd-gen gave a boom in the market around the world of its strong presence in compact-SUV segment.

Ford is giving customers a whole-lots of features in this car which competes with its closest rivals, Hyundai Creta & of-course Maruti Suzuki Brezza

The new Powertrain comes with 1.5 L Ti-VCT Petrol engine & 1.5L TDCi Diesel engine which has improved efficiency & is more enthusiastic to drive than the predecessor engine.
The petrol kicks out, 123 bhp of power with 150 Nm of Torque, whereas the diesel kicks in about 100 bhp & 200 Nm of Torque. With this we can conclude that the petrol engine has slightly more power than the diesel one excluding the torque output. It now gets an Automatic Transmission in the line-up but still some-where the Manual Transmission is more fun to drive, as I've driven the Manual one.

The Exterior now looks more bolder & solid as it gets the Ford's signature grille. Best part is that the headlights now gets Projector headlamps, that's very much needed from the Ford's largest selling car, it also gets a re-designed bumper which houses the blinkers & fog-lamps with Cornering Function as well.

Coming to the Side Profile, wide opening doors with thick A-Pillar, wheel arches slightly phased out of the car housing 17" inch Diamond cut alloys only for the top-trim variant.

Boot design is the best from its rivals as it gets extra wheel fixed at the boot-door to get a retro look & sporty appeal. The most youthful & retro look design of this car is that the rear boot-door opens side ways like a Tata Sumo having one, but it is kind of difficult to open when you'r in a dense traffic condition. Boot space is of 400 L where you can split the rear seats to 60:40 in requirement of accommodation of your occasional Golf playing equipments !

The all-black Interior with silver trims gives a premium look to the car & for this you can feel claustrophobic at the rear as the window sill is bit upwards. Fortunately, the rear seats gets an arm-rest & adjustable head-rest. The bad part at the rear is that, it misses out rear A/C vents which is kind necessary for Indian weather, fortunately the front A/Cs works very good & powerful too as it cools the cabin in no time. Glove box is kinda small but its a cooled one. The instrument cluster have a dated graphics used in accordance with the modern appearance of the car.

Price factor is the most important point where all the car manufacturers tend to loose customers, but fortunately Ford has placed the Ecosport in a very good place, starting price is 8.79 Lakhs which all the way tends upto 13.91 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom Delhi). Whereas its rival Hyundai Creta's top trim is very expensive to be spent on a compact-SUV.

To conclude, this is a balanced car in-terms of features, looks & price. Ford's engine is always a long-living engine if you maintain it properly. Hope you have read my review, if you have any queries please do comment down below.
