Triumph Tiger 800 ADV

Welcome to my review blog, Carwahi.

Today for the first time I'm gonna review about a bike that's famous for its ADV (Adventure Vehicle) DNA with stunning Off-Road Balance, Comfortable Seating, Upright Riding Position & every feature that you want in an ADV bike, that's Triumph Tiger.

Triumph is a well-known UK brand that's famous for making ADV's, Racing DNA bikes & etc. Triumph has been in India since 2013, but due to non-availability of exciting bikes, the company didn't recorded large sales figures. Indians love to travel to different places which are both On-& Off- Road, thinking about that they released the Tiger 800, in which they have placed the bike in such Selling-Price so that it can be affordable to all people, which resulted in high sales figures. They too have a rivalry with many other ADV manufacturing brands, mentioning BMW, Royal Enfield etc. but all around the Tiger is as affordable & as comfortable too.

Talking about the it, 3 variants on-offer, Tiger XR, Tiger XRx & Tiger XCx. All the variants have similar engine, powered by Liquid-Cooled DOHC 800 cc inline-3-cylinder engine which peaks out max power of  95 PS & Torque of 79 Nm. As the top-spec XCx has 3-riding modes - Road, Off-Road & Configurable Rider, in which you can configure the functioning of ABS, Triumph Traction Control & Throttle map for a complete thrilling adventure experience. The bike also features Hand-Guards, Aluminium Sump-Guard, Center Stand, Additional Power Sockets (To charge your mobile, camera & other electronic equipments) for all the adventure experience you want with ease.

The chassis is the main of all the other points, as the bike is placed on tubular steel Trellis-Frame structure which not only superb balance but also provides a light weight chassis in-order to give a good efficiency, & has a Ground Clearance of 203 mm. It has a twinsided cast aluminium alloy swingarm, fitted with WP Monoshock with hydraulically adjustable preload & has max. travel of  215 mm, that's a-lot ! Coming to the front, the new-gen model is fitted with LED headlights with DRL's, which combines to form a more aggressive look to the bike. Front is also fitted with WP 43 mm upside down suspension with a max. travel of 220 mm, which is kind of perfect settings for an ADV bike.

The top-spec variant contains a hell lot of Features on-offer, mentioning the first one is the TFT Multi-functional instrument pack with digital speedometer, trip computer, analogue tachometer, outside temperature, coolant temperature, digital clock, gear position indicator, fuel gauge & with five rider modes selection (Road/Off-Road/Off-Road Pro/Sport/Track), in Road Modethe Traction Control & ABS both are activated but whereas in Off-Road Pro Mode, the Traction Control & ABS both are turned off to experience more off-road fun with proper efficiency. The bike is fitted with Brembo Dual Front discs & Nissin Single Rear Disc ABS Braking system which can also be switchable when required both the front & rear disc brakes. Heated Grips & Heated seats too for the rider comfortability, I think this is the first ADV bike which gets these functions, that's really a cool thing to have one.

It's time to talk about the Mileage, price & other stuffs. First of all this bike has a fuel tank capacity of 19 L which on stretch can give you a total of 350 Kms depending on the type of road which you are travelling. Triumph is offering a-lot of configurable instruments with the bike like Heated Grips, Heated Seats, Fog Lamps, Panniers, ARROW Exhaust Kit (To make more roaring sound!) & many more which are all useful during the time of ride. Talking about the Price, it is priced from 10 Lakhs to 15 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom), which is okay for the features, power & torque it offers.

This was my review, hope so you'll like it. Don't forget to share it with your friends.

SAYONARA, TAKE CARE READERS.
