RE launches Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 in US

Image
A good news for RE fans out there! Royal Enfield's most rumored Interceptor 650 & the Continental GT has a long history to talk about, previously launched in the year 1960 & 1965 respectively but with different engine capacities. Now Royal Enfield has planned something serious about it & they've finally launched it in an event in US. Testing the seating positions of both the bikes we get to know that Interceptor 650 is designed for exclusive touring & the Continental GT 650 is for the cafe-racer because of the aggressive seating position. Seat height is kept at 793 mm & 804 mm for the Continental GT 650 & Interceptor 650 respectively. The ground clearance is kept 174 mm standard on the two. The engine is a 648 cc liquid cooled twin-parallel engine which produces about 47 Bhp at 7250 RPM & a peak torque of 52 Nm at 5250 RPM, which is slightly under-powered looking at the dimensions of the bikes. The braking system is shared between the t

Pulsar 220 ABS being spied

For the Pulsar lovers out on the road, there's a good news.  Bajaj Auto has been planning from the very first week of this year to upgrade all the Pulsar siblings with a safety feature that matters a lot for the riders, that's ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). And they've also been working on it as Bajaj Pulsar 150 is also spied testing with dual channel ABS. They might add ABS feature on every Pulsar siblings by the year end. Recently Bajaj Auto have been seen testing the ABS version of the Pulsar 220F. We'r still not yet confirmed, either their will be a Single-Channel or Dual-Channel ABS. Apart from the ABS, the newer model will get some decals on the fair & also an under belly pan to protect the engine from bumps & potholes. Other than that the engine will not bear any of the changes as the 220 cc Single-Cylinder DTS-i engine will still peak out max power of 21 Bhp & 19 Nm of torque. The selling price of the bike will expected to be change of a

Lucky to have my hands on Maruti 800

Image
Hello & welcome to Carwahi . Maruti Suzuki launched the 800 back in 1983 which run successfully till 2013  as Maruti was loosing the sales number as well as the profit that's why they finally stopped the production  after many face-lifts were introduced. The first Maruti 800 was based on the Suzuki Fronte . Maruti 800 has a-lot of history, you can just Google it out or if you want me to tell then comment down below about this. Talking about the engine, it was a 4-cylinder 800 cc motor paired with 4-speed gearbox (Later 5-speed) which used to produce 37 bhp of power & the kerb weight was 600+ kgs . I feel very lucky to drive this "Millionaire" as Maruti 800 was sold at about 2.88 million in its lifespan. I've been looking for to drive some of the old cars fortunately my friend does own one. My first impression, it was compact & the design language is just superb, the square shaped headlights & the black color bumper with the i

BMW Showcases G 310 RR Supersport

Image
BMW bikes are known for its speed, better control & a hell lot of torque as well. BMW recently launched their adventure 300 cc bike in India that's the BMW 310 GS & BMW 310 R, continuing the same engine as in TVS Apache 310 RR. Recently BMW conducted a BMW Motorad Show in Japan, where the BMW G 310 RR is being showcased which uses a carbon full-fairing in-order to make the bike more aerodynamic & weigh less to gain the top-speed in no time. The gill pattern  designed fairing is designed to cool down the engine naturally as much as possible. The huge sticker in the front fairing is designed fantastically which gives a feeling of riding a beast & I'm quiet sure that you won't be able to identify either the bike is of 300 cc or a 1000 cc as many of the parts are being shared from the BMW S 1000 RR.  The mechanical components like the suspension, brakes are expected to be shared with the Apache 310 RR as the BMW 300 cc bikes are being closely looked o

In the 2018 Big Motor Sale, Bangkok they've showcased the DAKAR avatar edition, which almost keeps the original chassis but slight changes in the looks. Looking the bike you'll notice about the vertical headlamps with twin projector setup , gone are the round halogen lamps. The engine bay of the bike is now surrounded by a "Orange" color crash guard & th

Suzuki Burgman VS TVS N-Torq

Image
Hello & Welcome to Carwahi . Young generations are planning to buy a scooter that is not only comfortable but also have a sporty looks to feel jealous to their biker friends, I'm comparing two to new collection of the scooters which has all the required features for this gen. Suzuki globally produces scooters in name of Burgman ranging from 125 to 600 cc motors,  Suzuki recently launched its new scooter in the Indian market that's the Burgman 125.  Talking about the TVS, after the launch of their BMW engine combo RR 310 with all the new features from cooling the engine to the deadly looks they've launched their new scooter N-Torq with a newer engine & all the modern features. Comparison begins here : ENGINE: Both are powered by the 125 cc Single Cylinder OHC engine. N-Torq has a slight advantage over the Burgman on power as Burgman produces about 8 PS of power whereas N-Torq has 9.5 PS. Torque is same in both of 10.2 Nm. Now, drivabil

Farewell to TATA NANO

Image
Welcome to Carwahi . I'm all set here to give a farewell to the "Lakhtakiya" car of India, that's Tata Nano . It was first showcased in 2008 Auto Expo, this was expected to change the way of motoring in India as this was mainly focused to the middle class families those who can't afford a many lakhs car.  The idea to launch Nano is by Tata's ex-chairperson Mr. Ratan Tata , which was inspired from a family of 4, riding a motorcycle in traffic. Nano will be for those who can't able to afford a car because of low-income & thought of making a car that'll cost around 1 lakh , but somehow failed to attract buyers as on-road price (Including the road tax + insurance) was calculated to be above 1 Lakh. Somehow the poor appeal both from the front as well as the rear with lack of leg-room at the rear also be the reason of failure. But every car has their own fans & wants to be the owner of one. Talking some technological, Nano is powered
